EU SHIPPING UPDATE

We don’t usually make contents like this, as it’s not what this project is about. But the current situation is directly affecting us and small businesses across the EU.

Ahead of 12 August 2026, we’ll be changing the shipping options on our webshop.

For now, we’ll only be able to ship within Germany.

Since launching ALTER ALTER, we’ve been lucky enough to reach customers across 10 European countries. Having to suddenly close those borders is something we never expected and definitely not something we want to do.

We fully support the goal of reducing packaging waste. But the way the current EPR system works places a disproportionate financial and administrative burden on micro-businesses like ours.

We hope this is temporary. For now, we’re following the situation closely and hoping that a fair and workable solution for small independent businesses will be found.

There is an online petition to support the change of this situation: please share, sign and support independent businesses across Europe.
