ALTER ALTER is a Berlin-based jewelry project exploring identity, body and self-expression through piercing-inspired jewelry. Originally conceived in Italy, the project acquired a new layer of meaning after relocating to Germany, where Alter is a colloquial expression used to address someone directly, similar to "mate". This shift became central to the project's identity.

Rooted in a queer perspective, ALTER ALTER reinterprets piercing hardware as decorative and functional design features, transforming a subcultural symbol into refined objects for everyday wear. Each piece is handcrafted in small batches using stainless steel, freshwater pearls and natural gemstones.

Stainless steel is chosen for its strength, durability and resistance to corrosion. Combined with freshwater pearls and natural gemstones, it creates jewelry designed for everyday wear and made to last beyond seasons.
